Born: August 12, 1962 | Died: May 18, 2025
George Daniel "Danny" Shaw of Greeneville passed away Sunday morning.
He was the son of the late George & Eva Nease Shaw.
Danny was an avid gardener & farmer, who loved baking bread and desserts for his customers at Shaw Restoration. He cherished his community at First Church of God and loved spend time with his family and friends.
Survivors include one sister: Amy Shaw and her husband, Bruce Hartman; four children and their spouses: Carly Shaw and husband, John Gavin, Jenna Shuffler and husband, Jalen Shuffler, Caleb Shaw and wife, Kylie Shaw, and Ayden Shaw; grandchildren: Sutton, Cache, Case, Coye, and Canaan. Danny was a beloved nephew and beloved cousin.
The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at First Church of God on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ralph Shipley and the Rev. Gerald Rudd will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jalen Shuffler, Preston Shuffler, John Gavin. Bruce Hartman, Butch Shaw, Alfred Shaw, Will Shaw, Eric Nease, Ronnie Nease, and Grayson Rader.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Shaw, Tim Shaw, John Tweed, Boyce Rominger, Dennis Murphy, Mike Hollowell, Tom Wright, Larry Bible, Bryan Weems, Doug Renner, Arthur della Nina, John Morrell, Johnny Honeycutt, and Phil Murphy.
