Born: June 21, 1930 | Died: November 1, 2025
Dewey Franklin Seay, age 95 of Mosheim, passed at Durham Hensley Nursing Home on November 1, 2025. Dewey was retired from Alltrista and a lifelong farmer. He served four years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a kind and loving soul and loved his Lord and Savior, family, friends, and home. Dewey was a member of Hartman's Chapel Church.
He is survived by his son: Mike Seay (Denise) of Mosheim; nephews: Milton Parham (Diane) of Mosheim, Marty Parham (Linda) of Mosheim, Danny Myers (Kathy) of Mosheim, and David Myers (Kathy) of Greeneville; nieces: Cindy Luttrell (Alan) and Beth Ricker (Chris) all of Greeneville; sisters-in-law: Wilda Jo Murray and Rena Faye Hensley both of Greeneville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mildred Seay; parents: Bruce and Nuckie Seay; sisters: Vida Myers (John) and Marcella Parham (Pete); and baby brother: Calvin Seay; Mother and Father-in-law: Lee and Luster Johnson; and three brothers-in-law: Pete Johnson, Bill Murray, Wallace Hensley.
The family would like to give special thanks to Durham Hensley Nursing Home and Smokey Mountain Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm Friday at Hartman's Chapel Church, officiated by Pastor Ricky Morrison and Pastor James Fain. Internment will be after the service at Hartman's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Milton Parham, Marty Parham, Danny Myers, David Myers, Chris Ricker, and Darwin Jones.
In leu of flowers please make memorials to Hartman's Chapel Cemetery Fund.
