Evelyn Louise Walker passed into peace and the Arms of God Saturday.
Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished by her family. Louise loved to work in her flowerbeds and garden or to sit on the porch in warmer weather. She loved to be surrounded by her family and her precious dog, Buttercup. She had a kind and compassionate spirit that made everyone love her as much as her family did.
Momma loved her church family at Bradburn Hill United Methodist Church where she was a loyal member of the choir every Sunday morning.
Louise worked for the Greeneville City School System in the cafeteria where she enjoyed providing nourishing meals for both students and faculty.
Louise was born June 4, 1929, to John Biddle and Hazel Rose Dixon in the town of Greeneville. She married James Crawford Walker, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children: James Crawford Walker Jr. and Jeanne Linkul, Patricia Walker McIntyre and husband, Don, Terry Lynn Walker and wife, Terrie Sue, and Jamie Louise Walker.
Grandchildren began calling Louise their "Meno" in 1983 by her first grandson. Meno was a great-grandmother to Jace Connor Jones, Lucy Grace Jones, and Jackson Cole McIntyre.
Louise leaves sister-in-law: Ann Dixon; and her nephews: Sonny Cline, Ronnie Cline, and Donnie Cline to cherish her spirit.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Gene Dixon; her sister: Betty Cline and husband, Les; and a nephew: John Dixon.
Momma was well taken care of by Dr. Carla Nickle and dear family friend, Kella Shipley.
