Jerry Lee Gray

Born: October 26, 1942 | Died: September 27, 2025

Jerry Lee Gray, 82, of Rogersville, a retired millwright, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at his home with wife holding his hand.

Survivors include his wife: Pauline Gray; two daughters and sons-in-law: Angela and David Ritter of Knoxville, Susan and Steve Brauch of Rogersville; grandchildren: Forrest (Wren) Dixon, Teryn Dixon, Darci Kirkpatrick, and Freya Holley; brother and sister-in-law: Nick and Mary Jane Gray; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Edward (Charlene) Shoemaker, Gwen Hollifield, and Edna Bass; special friend: John Counts; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Ruth Henry Gray; one brother: Jack Gray; and an infant sister.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bright Hope Road. The Rev. Jim Fain will officiate. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery for the service.

Active pallbearers will be Forrest Dixon, John Counts, Steve Brauch, Nathan Gray, Mark Shoemaker, Mike Shoemaker, and Eric Shoemaker.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
