Judith Rita Jackson, 84, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday. Born and raised in Greeneville, Tennessee, Judith devoted her life to faith, family, and the simple joys that made her happiest - especially her love of flowers and gardening. She was also a member of Avon's President's Recognition Program.

For 35 years, Judith was a dedicated member and board member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her service, compassion, and steady presence touched many within the congregation. She later became a cherished member of Grace Fellowship in Rogersville, Tennessee, where she continued to live out her devotion to God and community.

Judith is survived by her loving daughter, Regina (Ricky) Brotherton and sister, Patsy Gibson; her grandchildren, Jordan Thomas Brotherton, Daniel Joseph Brotherton, Sarah Elizabeth Brotherton, Abigail Grace Brotherton, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Elbert Jackson; her mother, Bonnie Ella (Shelton) Hensley; her father, Besman Hensley; her sisters, Louise Strahan, Ruth Ann Auchterlonie, Joyce Stills, Rosie Justice, Janice Dearstone, and Mary Sue Knight; her brothers, Donald Lee Shelton and Billy Hensley; and her special mother-in-law, Neville Moore Jackson, and special nephew, Ronnie Gibson.

Judith will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and the beauty she brought into the world through every garden she tended. Her love will continue to bloom in the lives of those who knew her.

Family visitation will be held Monday, December 1st, from 6–8 p.m. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Visitation for friends will be Tuesday, December 2nd, from 6–8 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel.

A procession will depart Doughty-Stevens at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for the graveside service at Union Temple Cemetery at 2 p.m.
