Mary Guinn Obituary
Mary Phipps Guinn, 66, of Telford, passed away Friday at her home surrounded by her family.
She was employed with the Washington County Department of Education. She worked prior to that for the Johnson City Press for 18 years.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years: James Guinn Jr., a daughter: Sabrina Guinn; a son: Arthur "Adam" Guinn; a brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Kathy Phipps; a niece: Dina Phipps; a cousin: Lee Mumpower; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: James and Joy Guinn; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Connie and Daxter Malone.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Preston and Helen Phipps; and a sister-in-law: Stephanie Steele.
The family expresses a special thank you to Ballad Hospice, nurse Sara Beth, and her co-workers, Cassie Neeley and Sandy Forbes.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton chapel.
The graveside service will be Thursday at 4 p.m. in Grace Brethren Cemetery with Dr. David Guinn officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery Thursday for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
