On this day, November 2, 2025, James Michael Blue entered into rest.
Michael was born on December 26, 1956 in Greeneville, TN to the late Jay and Flora Blue. He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Tenika Condra and Sangela Blue, son James Blue, faithful life partner Dema McGee, grandchildren Jacob (Aeriel) Condra-Bogan and Destiny (Ty) Condra-Bogan, great-granddaughter Nia Chaplin, devoted sister and favorite brother-in-law Zerudia and William Rogers, brother Donnie (Tracy) Blue, and special family Willie McElrath and Ian Wright. He was preceded in death by grandparents Noah and Mamie Rader, brothers Steve (Betty) Blue and Henry Rader, nephews Chuck Rader, Tyrone Rogers, Cedric Barner, and Randy, Danny, and Bubba McGee.
Michael was employed by American Greetings for 40+ years, a member of the Union serving as Union Steward. He was also a member of Tate Chapel UM Church where he served as trustee & led renovations after the fire. He was an avid hunter, sports enthusiast, & inducted into the Parks and Recreation Hall of Fame. Michael was recognized by the Each One, Reach One organization in 2024. Michael was the overseer of the Houston Chapel Cemetery in Warrensburg, TN. He enjoyed mowing yards and playing cards with his poker friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 pm and Friday 12-2 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Houston Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted towards the Houston Chapel Cemetery in Warrensburg, TN in care of
Tate Chapel United Methodist Church, 710 Wesley Avenue Greeneville, TN 37743.
