Stanley Williams Obituary

Stanley Williams

Born: February 27, 1942 | Died: March 27, 2026

Stanley K Williams, 84, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 27, 2026, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living facility.

Stan was born on February 27th, 1942, to the late Bob and Laura Jean Williams in Wabash, IN. He attended Wabash Highschool and later graduated from Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago with a Bachelors of Industrial Tool Engineering in 1963. After starting with Ball Corporation (Jarden) in Muncie Indiana August 10, 1964, Stan later transferred with the company down to Greeneville, TN in 1970 where he lived for the rest of his life. Stan was a dedicated engineer, proudly working for one company for over 50 years. He joked that he loved to "make money," which was fitting considering that he was responsible for the design and manufacturing of the penny blank for the US Mint.

When away from his work, Stan enjoyed trout fishing and morel mushroom hunting with his daughters, Lynn and Katy. Stan was a leader in the Greeneville Jaycees civic organization for many years and enjoyed time with his friends at the Moose Lodge. He had a passion for collecting and enjoyed Watching Westerns that reminded him of growing up with his grandparents, which he talked about often and fondly.

Stan is survived by his loving daughters, Averial "Lynn" (Don) Johnson of Selma Indiana, and Katy (Raz) Axente of Marietta, GA. His grandchildren Lauran (Juston) Hinkle of Sheridan, IN, and Isaac and Sophia Axente of Marietta, GA. His Stepdaughters, Lori (Michael) Davis of Douglasville, GA, and Mendy (George) VanBuskirk of Greeneville, TN. His Step grandchildren, Emily Sangiorge and Maddie Davis of Atlanta, GA, and Marley and Lindy VanBuskirk of Greeneville, TN. His sister, Christine Morehead of Zionsville IN, and many nieces and nephews. Stan is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 30 years, Jeannie Williams, and his sister Janice Scheetz.

The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, April 11th from 1:00-3:00PM with the memorial service following at 3:00PM.

Internment at a later date in Wabash IN.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
