Steve Allen McGhee, 70, of the Sunnyside community, passed away Sunday surrounded by his family at his home.
He retired after 32 years from the Town of Greeneville.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and David Macon, and Tricia and Charles Cutshaw; a son and daughter-in-law: Scottie and Brenda McGhee; grandchildren: Heather and Derrick Randolph, Kaylee Cutshaw, Michael and Donna McGhee, Seth and Katie Macon, Cody and Kaitlin Macon, Chelsea and Joey Powers, and Haven McGhee; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Thomis, Marlie, Maleah, Annaleigh, Harper, Rylan, Kallum, and Havyn; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Mike and Sherry McGhee, and Dennis McGhee; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Shirley Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Robinson McGhee; his parents: Fred and Bertha McGhee; a son: Kenny McGhee; a grandson: Dustin McGhee; a brother: Kenneth McGhee; and a sister: Willa Dean Ricker.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Downtown.
The funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Tommy Melton and the Rev. Hubert Metcalf will officiate.
The burial will follow in Pleasant Hill CPC cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Seth Macon, Cody Macon, Billy Lane, Ray Myers, Gerald Fellers, Mark McGhee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expense.
