Steven "Allen" Harris II was born on Dec. 27, 1981, in Greeneville.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy went to his heavenly home Sunday.
Fair winds and following seas.
Allen graduated from West Greene High School and started serving in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. Allen served his country from 1999-2002. Allen was a proud veteran that loved his time in the service.
Allen was employed as a Pipefitter.
Allen started coon hunting at an early age and had many coon hounds over the years. We always joked that he could be coon hunting in the woods or on the phone. Allen also enjoyed riding horses as a child.
Allen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: James and Louise Harris; his maternal grandparents: the Rev. Herbert Creech Sr. and Eleanor "Mammy" Creech; and a niece: Andrea Harris.
Survivors include his father: Steven (Mary) Harris; his mother: Debra (Donald) Swanay; a brother: Andrew Harris; a sister: Danielle Eutha; nephews: Ryan Purkey, Jayden and Kayden Eutah, and Hayden Harris; nieces: Madeline Purkey, Cheyenne Harris, Chesney Harris and Addison Harris; his wife of 18 years: Holly Harris; daughters: Lindsay "Lou Anne" Fullen and her husband, Matt, and Megan "Chandler" Atkins; grandchildren: Colten and Zoey; and many aunts, uncles cousins and coon hunting friends.
A military service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Friends are asked to be at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. for the service.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
