Christina "Chrissy" Jannette Cochard, age 30, of Greenfield, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Riley Children's Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis on October 10, 1995, to Jan and Gwen (Kinnett) Cochard. She graduated from Fortune Academy in 2014. Chrissy received her bachelor's degree from The Art Institute of Indianapolis in 2018.
Chrissy was diagnosed in April 2025 with Fanconi Anemia (FA) complicated by Acute Myeloid Leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant from her brother Chuck affectionately renaming her "Chucktina." Through her eight-and-a-half-month journey with FA she held strong to three convictions: "1. We don't understand why this is happening, but God is in control, 2. Through this, others will come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior, 3. God is sanctifying me."
Chrissy was a 10 year 4-H member, a supporter and logo designer for the Cheetah Conservation Fund and attended The Porch at Northview Church. She worked as a barista at Geist Coffee Shop for several years. Her passion was big cats, especially cheetahs and she interned at the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL. She was employed by PLTW (Project Lead the Way) and was two credits away from receiving her master's degree from Miami of Ohio through Project Dragonfly focusing on Animal Wildlife Conservation, Biology, and Education.
She is survived by her parents, Jan and Gwen Cochard; brothers, Chuck (Erin) Cochard and Steve (Ori) Cochard; grandmother, Pauline Kinnett; niece, Nora; nephews, Will, Cade, and Ames; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Kinnett and C.C. Cochard; and grandmother, Mary C. Cochard.
