Nancy Carol West

Nancy Carol (Trimble) West, age 87, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born in Indianapolis on April 21, 1938, to Russell and Margaret (Courtney) Trimble. She graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1954. Nancy received her Registered Nursing degree from Methodist Nursing School in 1958. She later received her Bachelors of Nursing degree from University of Saint Francis. She married Herman West on August 30, 1958, in Indianapolis.

Nancy worked at both Hancock and Henry County Hospitals for many years. She then went to work for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for twenty years until her retirement in 2000. Nancy was a member of Trinity Park Church. She loved to paint and play bingo in her spare time.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Mark) Sternberg, David (Karen) West and Becky (Jimmy) Gregory; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Margaret Trimble; husband, Herman West; and sister, Joan Minnick.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Dr. Andy Flink will be officiating.
