Philip Wayne Doughty

Philip Wayne Doughty, age 87, of Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Hancock County, Indiana on June 21, 1938, to Arthur Paul and Margaret Virginia (Stoner) Doughty. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1956. He attended Southern Methodist University and Purdue University.

Philip worked as a farmer for several years. He was a member of Curry's Chapel Church. He was an avid antique John Deere collector and chopped corn for sixty years.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Leisure and Leah (Kenny) Melton; seven grandchildren, Sirena Brinton, Shaina Livingstone, Andrew Leisure, Ashley Leduc, Alicia Clemens, Chad Melton, and Amy Melton; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; fiance, Lorraine Clutinger; sister, Margery Carolyn Ratliff; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melanie Ann Doughty; and brother Richard Doughty.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Curry's Chapel Church, 3488 N. 375 E., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Richmond Bailey will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Friends 4 Jessica, 5901 E. 300 S., Greenfield, IN 46140. Envelopes will be available at the church.
