Stephen Wayne Muegge

Stephen Wayne Muegge, 80, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 13, 1945, in Indianapolis to the late Charles & Maxine (Roudebush) Muegge. Stephen attended Greenfield High School and later graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.

Stephen was the proud co-founder of Muegge Plumbing & Heating in Greenfield, where he dedicated many years of hard work and service to his community. Outside of his profession, he found joy in golfing and tending to both his flower and vegetable gardens. Above all, Stephen cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were truly the highlight of his life.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Jerrilee Muegge; son, Randall Muegge (Wendy); daughter, Tina Johnston (Jason); brothers, David Muegge (Nancy), Greg Muegge (Debbie), and Jeff Muegge; grandchildren, Brandon Johnston (Ramey), Kaitlyn Burke (Jacob), Vyctoria Mattingly (Bobby), and Demi Muegge; four great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Sydney Muegge; parents mentioned above; granddaughter, Zoe Muegge; brother, Dennis Muegge; and sister-in-law, Lisa Muegge.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service followed the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial followed the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
