William Thiery

William P. Thiery, age 72 of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born on December 16, 1949, in Tell City, Indiana to the late Earl Albert & Mary Ruth (Johnson) Thiery. He married the love of his life on February 12, 1972, in Huntingburg, Indiana.

William was very proud of his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, you could find him doing the things he loved, which including tending to his yard, playing bingo and puzzles.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Thiery of Greenfield; daughters, Lisa Pugh (Adairian Armstead) of Greenfield; Wendy Thiery (David Summers) of Indianapolis; son, Matt Thiery of Greenfield; grandchildren; Angelica and Zachary Thiery; great-grandchildren, Ava and Aubrey Morgan; Lia, Landon, Zachariah, and Elena Thiery; Brothers, Robert Allen (Brenda) Thiery of Tell City; Edward Lee Thiery of Evanston, IN; sisters, Ruth Ann Craig of Broadway, VA; Helen (Danny) Bittner of Tell City; and Kathleen Sue (Ed) Bonham of St. Croix, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents mentioned above; and brothers, Kenneth Earl & Richard Dale Thiery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US HWY 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00pm.
