Adeline Grober Stephens, 92, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 14, 2021. Adeline was born in Cohasset, MN, in 1928. She met her husband when working as a civil servant on Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, in 1950. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and her family was the most important thing to her. Her death is preceded by her husband James Stephens, and her first-born infant son James M. Stephens, Jr., her parents Henry and Manilla Grober, and her sister Mary June Neumaier. She is survived by her daughters Susan Kennedy (Andy Kennedy) of Greensboro, Amanda Stephens (Gary Light) of Castleton, VA, and Mary Stephens (Jen McDonough) of Arlington, VA, and her grandchildren Julian, Georgia, Andrew, George, David, and Landon, along with many nieces and nephews. Adeline's legacy will live on through her countless paintings and crafts that told stories of her life and she generously shared with family, friends, and strangers alike. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AuthoraCare Collective of Greensboro.
