Anne Wicker

GIBSONVILLE Anne Whittington Holmes Wicker, 74, went home to her heavenly home on March 3, 2016. She passed away at Wesley Long Hospital surrounded by her family. Anne was born in Guilford County on February 14, 1942 to the late Willie Farrington Holmes and Rosa Lou Whittington Holmes and was the wife to Frankie "Frank" Joe Wicker of 53 years, who survives. Anne was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.Survivors other than her loving husband, Frank, include sons and daughter-in-law, Keith Wicker and friend, Dawn Rutledge of Clemmons, Rev. Jerry and Jessica Wicker of Black Mountain; grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah and Paul Wicker all of Black Mountain; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Randall Simpson of Pleasant Garden; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts, Vearle Page and Vivian Keegan; sister, Sue Elder and brother-in-law, Norman Elder.The funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jerry Wicker with burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Saturday prior to the service and other times at the home.Memorials may be made to Faith Community Church, 101 E.
