Tommy Ward was a true southern gentlemen. I first met Tommy around 2000 as he was on the committee to build the Guilford County Veterans Memorial. It was Tommy's idea to create the Memorial and he teamed up with Bill Craft, a Coast Guard Veteran, and the two of them formed a group to build the Memorial. Tommy served as an officer in the Army but mostly, Tommy was gentleman....and a great friend.
