Benjamin "Ben" Braxton Simpson, 17, passed away in the early morning of August 23, 2024. Born March 12, 2007, though only 17 years old, made an impact on everyone he encountered.
He was very passionate and tried his hand at many things. He played tennis during his younger years. He played basketball. He then developed an interest and passion for theater and intended to pursue it upon graduation from Southeast High School (SEHS) in 2025. He dreamed of going to New York City. Ben was an avid fisherman and loved going to Grandpa's and Nana's during the summer.
He is survived by his father, James Michael Simpson; mother, Megan Gurgon Simpson; two loving brothers, Erik Claude Simpson and Alexander "Alex" James Simpson; Grammie, Regina Gurgon; Grandpa, Alan Bialkowski; Nana, Carol Bialkowski; and devoted and best friend, Quan Vo.
Visitation is Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Forbis and Dick 1118 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. The Funeral Mass is Friday, August 30, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (OLG) 2203 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC.

I remember us being amazing friends, you being scared of my brother, and us fighting and that being the facefront of our middle school. As much as you probably shrugged off some of these things, genuinely I loved so many of our funny memories, and you made the entirety of my middle school years enjoyable. Miss you bro.
