Bobby Minter Obituary
Bobby Gene Minter, age 87, formerly of Daleville, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Our Lady of the Valley Memory Care following a long illness.
Bobby was born December 3, 1934 in Reidsville, North Carolina and lived in Botetourt since 1965. He was the son of the late JN and Maggie E. Lynn Minter.
Bobby was a member of Daleville Church of the Brethren and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking great pride in his yardwork. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Piedmont Airlines after 32 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers. Bobby is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gerry Stone Minter; his son, Michael A. Minter of Henrico; and his daughter, Michele L. Minter of Roanoke.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be 12 p.m. Friday, November 4 at Daleville Church of the Brethren, 1540 Valley Road, Daleville with pastors Thomas and Naomi Powers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daleville Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 85, Daleville, Virginia 24083.
