Cindy Hester Obituary
JAMESTOWN Cindy Crawford Hester went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 29, 2017. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel with Mark Shelley officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the church. Cindy was a 1974 graduate of Vandalia Christian School. Cindy entered and won a design contest for the adoption of what would become the school seal for Vandalia Christian School while still a student. Her design has always been and continues to be the school seal for her beloved Vandalia Christian School. Cindy became a registered nurse after graduating from High Point Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and passing the NC Board of Nursing Examination. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from NC A&T State University, magna cum laude. She earned national nursing accreditations in home health and case management. Cindy's lifelong practice of nursing afforded her many exciting and challenging adventures. The adventures experienced with others in and related to her profession netted her many lifelong friends. Cindy Crawford Hester was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jacqueline Crawford. She is survived by her husband of 36 years; also her brother, Butch Crawford (Sue); a niece and a nephew. George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the Hester family with funeral arrangements.
