Donna Weeks Obituary
December 27, 1958 - March 30, 2021
Donna Dorman Weeks, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of March 30th, 2021. Donna was born in Marlinton, West Virginia, the oldest of three children, to Betty and Clarence Dorman. She was a loving and devoted wife to Earl for 34 years and a caring, nurturing mother to Eddie, Ben and Lilly.
After graduating from UNCG's nursing school 1981, she went on to receive her MS in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in 1986. She truly loved her nearly 30-year career at Cone Health as a lactation consultant.
In addition to her work and raising a family, Donna was an active member of the Greensboro community and Westminister Presbyterian Church. She exemplified Christ's selflessness by leading and participating in multiple ministries. She was an angel maker and knitted prayer shawls and hats for newborns. She participated in Women's Circle Group and Cancer Survivor Small Group. She was a Sunday School teacher and played in the handbell choir. Donna led her daughter Lilly and Girl Scout Troop 635 as a troop leader for 13 years.
She is survived by parents Betty and Clarence Dorman, brother Neal Dorman, sister Debbie Welborn, husband Earl Weeks, and children Eddie, Ben and Lilly Weeks.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at Westminister Presbyterian Church for family and close friends. Due to the pandemic there is limited seating, so the service will also be livestreamed. Please refer to westpreschurch.org for livestream details.

We are truly sorry for your loss. Donna was such a positive role model for many Girl Scouts and their parents as well. We have wonderful memories of camping trips, projects and service to others, all under Donna's leadership and with Lilly alongside. Her kindness, calm demeanor and smiles were unwavering. So sorry for your loss.
We have many precious memories with Donna as our faithful scout leader and Lilly with Girl Scouts, and the Weeks family at Boy Scouts too. I am so thankful for our friendship. Glad I was able to catch up at lunch with her just a few years ago.
