Edith Brown Buck, 83, passed away early Monday morning, May 3, 2021, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 8th, at Dan View Cemetery. She will lie in repose on Friday afternoon, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home for those wishing to come by to pay their respects.

Born July 11, 1937 in Draper, NC, Edith was the daughter of the late Benjamin Brown and Maggie Spence Brown. She was a graduate of Tri-City High School and was a retiree of Karastan Rug Mill after 50+ years of service. Edith loved dancing and listening to bluegrass music, eating numerous hotdogs at the Railroad Cafe, loved her Tar Heels, Elvis, NBA basketball, and chocolate.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Livesay (Tim) and Tammy Merriman (Chris), both of Reidsville; sons, Tommy Buck (Melissa) of Greensboro and Timmy Buck (Kelly) of Reidsville; and grandchildren, Josh Livesay (Camille), Ashlee Davis (Ryan), Danielle Peoples (Chris), Brad Merriman (McKenzie), Olivia Buck, Carly Buck, Bonnie LaChiusa, Andrew LaChiusa, Adam Buck, and Maggie Buck; seven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Patsy Pruitt for her loving care of Nannie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a non-profit organization of your choice.
