Erika Dawn Hopper, 43, left this earthly life Friday, December 18, 2020, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held at the Old Country Church Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face coverings are required.
Erika was born October 7, 1977, in Guilford County. She was baptized at the Old Country Church, loved history, and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and the late Ingrid Pelny Hopper; grandparents Paul Marion Wall and Daisy Shelton Wall; Peter and Erika Pelny and an aunt Joan Hopper Comer.
Erika is survived by her father, Cuff Watson "C.W." Hopper III; daughters Cheyenne Skye Cayton (Blake Thomas) and Scout Cayton (Jared Nelson); granddaughter, who brought her much joy, Leighton Thomas; brother Cuff Watson Hopper IV; aunt Shirley Hopper Martin; uncles Peter, Dwight, and Robert Pelny; nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to the Old Country Church, c/o Martha Gann, 115 Horseshoe Road, Madison, NC 27025.
