Everett Williamson Obituary
April 30, 1933 - May 11, 2025
Retired police officer Everett Eugene Williamson peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the age of 92.
Gene to his friends and family was well know for his friendly manner and love for his family and friends.
Born in Chatham County, NC and lived in Franklinville, where he graduated from Franklinville High School. He then joined the US Navy and served for 4 years in California.
After serving his country, he joined the Greensboro Police Department in 1961 where he worked his way up to the rank of sergeant. Retiring in 1987.
Gene is preceded in death by his mother Blanche Williamson and daughter-in-law Kimberly Williamson, married to Keith Williamson.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda of Sun City, AZ, his sons Kevin Williamson and wife Erin of High Point, NC and Keith Williamson of Winston-Salem, NC, granddaughter Katie Cooney and her husband Chris, great grandchildren Kaden, Kaylee, and Kinsley Meadows all from Winston-Salem, NC. Gene is also survived by his sister Marie Slaughter and her husband Clarence and his brother Joseph Williamson and his wife Narvie.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gene and I attended Greensboro Police Recruit class 1961. Gene was dedicated police officer and friend. Gene's professional career was outstanding and he will be missed. RIP my friend.
