FRANCIS MARION BERRY MADISON Francis "Junior" Marion Berry, 84, of 2001 Madison Road, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Reverend Craig Toth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Berry was born April 6, 1929 in Stokes County to the late Francis Marion and Murphy Mabe Berry. He was a U.S. Army veteran, was retired from H.J. Frye Auto Parts with over 40 years of service, and was a past employee of J.D.K. Automotive. Junior attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Peggy Neal Berry; sons, Blane Berry and Gary Berry and wife, Beth, both of Madison; grandchildren, Casey Bowman and husband, Sam and Kelly Berry; brother, Bobby Berry, of Madison; sister, Mary Ellen Collins of Pine Hall; and numerous special brothers and sisters-in-law. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4942 Ellisboro Rd, Stokesdale, NC 27357 or Hospice of Stokes County, 3169 NC Hwy 8, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.
