JAMESTOWN Fredrick James Werstlein, 75, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital. Born April 28, 1943, in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late John Fredrick Werstlein and the late Fidelis Marie Zender Werstlein. Mr. Werstlein was a US Army veteran, attended East Carolina University, and was a retired insurance adjuster. He attended Jamestown Presbyterian Church and was very active in his church and in his community. Mr. Werstlein is survived by his wife Pamela Odham Werstlein; son, Scott Patrick Werstlein and wife Ava of Wilmington; daughter, Wendy Wrenn Werstlein of Floyd, VA; brother, Bob Werstlein and wife Gail of Durham; and grandson, Callen Whalen Werstlein. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019, Jamestown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jay Smith officiating. A reception will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Outreach Ministry of Jamestown Presbyterian Church, 1804 Guilford College Rd., Jamestown, NC 27282, or Greensboro Urban Ministry, 305 W.
