Harold Anderson Obituary
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Jessup Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and all other times at the home.
Mr. Anderson was born on August 15, 1931 in Guilford County to the late Burl Estel Anderson and Martha Bennett Anderson. Harold found great joy in landscaping and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. He also enjoyed tinkering on old tractors. Harold retired from Burlington Industries after many years of service. Following his retirement, he continued to contribute to his community through his work with the Greensboro Parks and Recreation, where he coordinated tournaments and officiated many games.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Powell Anderson and siblings, Burl Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Bobby Anderson, Sissy Norris and Ruby Barber.
Survivors include his children, Fay Stanley (Danny) and Jeff Anderson (Christy), Rick Hardy (Robin), Kenny Hardy (Candace) and Donald Hardy (Stephanie); twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
