James Crenshaw Obituary
May 3, 1931 - December 5, 2021
James "Jim" Edward Crenshaw, Sr., 90, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Robert Crenshaw, and Lillian Gillespie Crenshaw; stepmother Thelma Crenshaw and sisters, Grace Ryals and Martha Carver, and son, James Edward Crenshaw, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Geraldine "Jerrie" Hemphill Crenshaw; daughter, Patricia C. Ghering (Douglas) of Summerfield and son, Gary Lee Crenshaw, Sr. of Raleigh, NC, sister, Florence Tuttle of Greensboro. James was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Leslie Arial, Christopher Arial and Gary Crenshaw, Jr. (Leah) and one great-grandchild, Lucas James Crenshaw. James was a manager of Boise Cascade for 17 years and owner of Crenshaw Office Products. He was a longtime member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and Friendly Sunday School class. He enjoyed fixing cars or anything that needed work; he loved the outdoors and feeding the deer and camping. He loved college basketball, his Atlanta Braves and enjoyed watching western movies. A funeral will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12 p.m. at Tabernacle United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tabernacle UMC, 5721 Methodist Road, Greensboro, NC 27406. Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel is serving the Crenshaw family. Online condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.
