Joan Bolling Obituary
September 27, 1934 - June 17, 2025
Joan Allen Robbins Bolling, aged 90, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 at Beacon Place Hospice surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Robbins, sister Mary "Tugar" Robbins, and an infant daughter.
Joan is survived by daughters Beth Sartore (Bill), Lynn Reynolds (David), grandchildren Jack and Joe Sartore, John and Emma Reynolds and extended family including Anne Schroth (Pete), Otto and Angus Schroth.
Joan was born in 1934 in Greensboro, NC. She attended Greensboro Senior High and Guilford College. Joan started her career at Jefferson Pilot but chose to focus on raising her family. Once her daughters were older, she worked for Dr. Edgar Sikes, Jr. DDS, until his retirement. Following that, Joan worked for the Guilford County Agricultural Extension Center until her retirement.
Joan was a steady source of comfort for everyone who knew her. Her family and friends could always rely on her for help, support, and thoughtful advice. With her warm and welcoming nature, Joan created an atmosphere of love around her. She listened without judgment and brought joy to others through her humor and laughter. Many cherished the time spent around her kitchen table, sharing stories and creating lasting memories.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Sat. Aug.16th at West Market St. United Methodist Church in the Leak Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to AuthoraCare Collective, or the charity of one's choice.

Dear Beth, Lynn and Anne,
What a beautiful obituary for such a sweet and kind lady. Joan was a joy to be around and I will always cherish the memories I have of her.
