GREENSBORO JOAN J. HUTTON, AGE 88 OF GREENSBORO, NC died on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Abbotswood at Irving Park Assisted Living Facility.Joan was born on October 17, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James Hail and Hazel Beach Myles. She married her high school sweetheart Cyrus Max Hutton. In 1964 they moved to Greensboro, PA, where they lived before moving to Waldron Street in Greensboro, NC in1982, until Max passed away in 2006. She moved to Abbottswood were she served as a ambassador for new residents. Her daily activities included Tai Chi, Bible Studies, Wii bowling, and was the Corn Holing Champion of Greensboro NC. Her favorite activity was running Bingo games three times a week. She was a Daughter of the Eastern Star and member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.Joan is survived by her sons: Dr. Max C. Hutton and his wife Dr. Debbie Hutton of Michigan and Carter L. Hutton and wife Dawnene Bucher of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Martyne Henderson of Greensboro, NC; her sister-in-law, LaVerne Hail of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren: Melissa J. Hutton and her husband Adam Mayzes; Mackenzie Hutton, Seth Hutton and Parker Hutton; 2 great-grandchildren: Laurie and Troy Mayzes and her niece, Patricia Cokain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Lee Hail and James Hail and a sister, Melba Figg.A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 12 noon at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 2005 New Garden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410, burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service, 1118 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27410. A memories service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Abbotswood at Irving Park Assisted Living Facility in the Recreational Lounge.
