John Lee Ingram went to his heavenly home September 18, 2025. He is survived by wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Andrews Ingram of the home; daughters Laura King Cruthis (Richard), Cheryl King Standridge both of Greensboro, and son Gregory Steven King (Karen) of Burkes Garden, Va. He is also survived by son, Jay Ingram (Susan) of Kernersville and daughter, Kathy McIntyre of Wilmington; as well as 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents W.H. and Bertha Ingram; and siblings H.C. Ingram, Pat Allen, and his twin brother J.E. Ingram.

Mr. Ingram was born March 13, 1936, in High Point, graduated from Guilford County High School in 1954, and enlisted with his twin brother in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1964 from which he was honorably discharged. He and Elizabeth were married over 60 years and shared many adventures from fishing, gardening, horseback riding and traveling both nationally and internationally.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 12 p.m., at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel on W. Friendly Avenue in Greensboro. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Deep River Friends in High Point immediately following the funeral service.
