June Alderman Obituary

June W. Alderman

July 24, 1936 - September 18, 2025

June Wyrick Alderman, 89 of Greensboro N.C., a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, went to her heavenly home on September 18, 2025. June was a devoted member of Parkway Baptist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed using her God-given alto voice to serve in the choir. She initiated a Prayer Shawl Ministry for the sick or hospitalized, a Food Pantry for the hungry and a Clothing Closet for the needy of all ages and served multiple terms on the Benevolence Committee. June was the top sales recruiter on the eastern coast for Avon. Her hobbies included crocheting baby blankets for family and friends, painting, bird watching, shopping with family and spending time in the backyard swing of her serenity garden.

June is preceded in death by her parents, William "Arthur" Wyrick and Minnie Payne Wyrick; husband, Roy M. Alderman Sr; son, Russell R. Alderman; and brother, W. Gilbert Wyrick. To carry on and celebrate her memory is her daughter, Debra A. Alderman of McLeansville; son, Roy M. Alderman Jr. and wife (Lori) of McLeansville; sister, Gayle W. Loggins of Asheboro; many nieces and nephews; loving neighbor and friend, Fernando Berrones and adopted granddaughter, Daniela Berrones; three honorary grandchildren, Madison, William and Emerson Lindsay, children of dear choir friend, Leigh Anne Lindsay; longtime friend, Treva Henley; and her reunited high school sweetheart, Dan Meetze, Jr. who brought her much joy in the last year of her life.

A celebration of life service will be held at Forbis and Dick Funeral Home on Elm Street, Greensboro, N.C. on Sunday, September 28, at 3 p.m. Receiving of friends and family will be prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Piedmont or to your favorite charity are appreciated.

June was a wonderful, caring and even funny right up until the end.

I am appreciative of having been fortunate to help Debbie at times care for her June during her final days.

Her daughter, Debbie, did such an amazing job being Junes´s full time caregiver. She was there 24/7 sacrificing her own needs.

Debbie showed so much love and compassion for her mom during those days which, as some of us know, is the most important part of being there for your loved one during their final days.

As having been a caregiver for my husband last year, I can truly attest the Debbie did a phenomenal job. Her love and support is the best gift she could give her mom.

Debbie, although some may not realize how hard a caregiver works, I certainly do. You continually telling your mom, right up until the end, that you love her and giving her kisses was so sweet to witness.

I know you loved your mom so much and it was and still is devastating for you. After all , our mothers are our first love.

Please never doubt yourself and know you did the best for June.

Rest in peace June. You are
sorely missed.

Love,
Dianne (Dye)

I am so sorry for your loss. June was my dear friend and I will always remember her beautiful smile and her love for the Lord and her family. I am praying God will give them peace and comfort today and in the days ahead.
