GREENSBORO Mark Andrew Schultz died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Greensboro, NC. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 7, 1960, Mark was a 1978 graduate of Page High School, going on to attend Elon University and Appalachian State University. Mark was a member of Grace Community Church and a tutor at Hope Academy. Mark is survived by his wife, Melanie Schultz; daughter, Emily Schultz (Brian Enriquez); son, Jack Schultz (Emily); parents, John and Doris Schultz; brother, Mike Schultz (Sandra); father-in-law Otis Sizemore (Jeanette); sisters-in-law Missy Leonard (Ronnie) and Shannon Templeton (Keith); brother-in-law James Sizemore (Robin); nieces and nephews Erin Leonard, Daniel Leonard, Carley Powell (Chris), Eric Templeton (Camry), Karina Sizemore, Kelley Sizemore, Reese Sizemore, Sarah Ann Schultz, and Andrew Schultz; and Shawn Stokes and Isaiah Smith, whom he loved as though they were family.He was a big man with a big heart and an even bigger opinion, which he shared freely with friends and strangers alike. His sharp wit and giving spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Mark was passionate about many things: football, cooking for friends and family, and his Caribou Coffee community. But more than anything, he was passionate about his family. He gave a lifetime of love in just 55 years. His kind and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to Hope Academy (1403 W. Florida Street, Greensboro, NC 27406), where Mark served as a tutor and mentor for five years. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. at Grace Community Church (643 W. Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro NC, 27403).
