Marvin Lee Strickland, 80, of Reidsville, NC, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden, NC Due to the COVID -19 pandemic there will be no formal funeral services at this time. A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late William Peter and Maybelle Watkins Strickland and had previously lived in Washington, DC for 16 years, but had lived in Rockingham County for most of his life. He was a retired employee of IBM and was a US Air Force veteran. Marvin was preceded in death by a brother, William T. Strickland, and two infant sisters, Lois Jean Strickland and Marion Frances Strickland, and a son-in-law, Jeff Davis. Survivors include a son, Richard Strickland and wife, Paige of Mooresville, NC; a daughter, Cindy Davis of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Davis and Jessica Davis; a brother, Leonard Strickland and his wife, Doris of Reidsville; and a sister, Ellen S.
