Patricia Martin Joyce, 97, of Mayodan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at her home.

A 1:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, in the Ray Chapel of Terry Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow privately.

Born June 17, 1928, to the late Nell Richardson, Patricia lived nearly a full century of change and history, and yet her heart always remained young. To know her was to love her. At 97, she was still filled with love, laughter, and a sparkle that never faded. She was warm, witty, loyal, and as quick to give a hug as she was to share a story. Her presence made the world softer, kinder, and more beautiful.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Martin; her son, William Harvey Martin; her grandson, William Harvey Martin, III; her second husband, Robert T. Joyce; and two brothers, John Thomas Smith and Tony Richardson.

Those left to treasure her memory include her grandson, William Clint Martin; her great-granddaughter, Vivian Patricia Martin; and a host of extended family and dear friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
