Richard Bledsoe Obituary
Richard E. Bledsoe passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on July 11, 1943, in Raleigh, NC, to the late Elease Moore Bledsoe and Archie Brooks Bledsoe. The family relocated to Greensboro, NC, where he graduated from James B. Dudley High School. He served honorably in the US Navy then went on to work 30 plus years for the United States Postal Service.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Crista F. Bledsoe; and siblings, Willa Chavis, James Clinton, Elsie B. Moore, Kathleen B. Thompson, Barbara Jean Bledsoe, and Archie Brooks Bledsoe, Jr.; sister-in-law, Dorothy F. Majette.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Kim B. Goods (Robert), Stephanie B. Gibson (Bonnie, III); brother, Cornelius Bledsoe (Carolyn); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives & friends.
The family will be receiving visitors at the family home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 and Wednesday, December 10, 2025 during the hours of 12 to 6:30 p.m.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., followed by the Homegoing Service at 11 a.m. at the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
