RUBY SHOAF TAYLOR HIGH POINT Ruby Shoaf Taylor, age 72, of High Point passed away Friday, March 21 at High Point Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Taylor was born June 1, 1941 the daughter of the late Frances Erwin Shoaf and Kenneth Chalmers Shoaf. She was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Ulla High School and was a graduate of Cabarrus School of Radiology. After her professional career as an x-ray technician she devoted the rest of her life to the loving care of her family. Preceding her in death was her husband Marvin Lester Taylor on February 21, 2011 whom she married May 22, 1971; son Orren Taylor in 1976. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters Rachel Taylor Norman (Greg) of Winston Salem and Emily Miranda Gutierrez (Jeff) of Ramstein, Germany; brother Joe Shoaf (Lynn) of Gastonia; sister Doris Williams (Russell) of Mt. Ulla; grandchildren Wyatt and Audrey Norman and Sebastian, Miranda and Sophia Gutierrez. Visitation: 10 AM until 11 AM Wednesday, March 26, at Thyatira Presbyterian Church Parlor. Graveside Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday at Thyatira Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by Russell Williams. The family will receive family and friends following in the fellowship hall.
