Andrew Still Obituary
Taylors
Andrew Calvin Still, 18, of Greenville, SC, graduated to a life eternal Friday, May 17, 2013. Survived by parents, Randy and Kathy Still, and brother, Randall, Drew leaves behind family and friends in a time of joy and celebration.
A senior at Shannon Forest Christian School, Drew was to attend Lenoir-Rhyne University this fall as a student and member of the collegiate swim team.
He was known as a dedicated athlete, coach, mentor, friend, classmate and son -- sharing of himself through an inviting presence, optimism and unfettered passion for life. Sincere and selfless, Drew will live on in the memories shared by all those he met.
An active volunteer at the Greenville Humane Society and coach to countless youth in the SAIL swim program, Drew's commitment to service fosters an aspirational legacy for those he leaves behind.
The community is encouraged to join family and friends of Drew in commemoration of a life well lived, Monday, May 20, 2013, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Services honoring Drew will take place at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Travelers Rest. Senior boys from Shannon Forest Christian School will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that gifts be made in honor of Drew's life to the Greenville Humane Society at 305 Airport Road in Greenville, SC.

I've prayed every night since I heard about the accident, for Drew & his family. And It hurts to know this happened to such a sweet person. I went to middle school with drew & not once did I see a frown on his face or him not laughing in class, all I can picture him now is smiling.It's been 4 years since I've seen him but there is definitely no way I could forget him. I pray for the Still family to stay strong through this hard time & know he's in a better place. I Love You Drew

Randy & Kathy, We didn't know Andrew very well, but all I need to know is that he loved animals (espl. dogs) and I see a young man who was kind and loving toward all creatures. I remember Drew swimming for Pebble Creek on the relay team. He always gave 100% when swimming. My prayers go out to your family.

While we watched him grow into a wonderful young man, our favorite memory of Drew is when he walked into our basement full of items for sale on eBay and said, "I wish our house looked like this. Mama makes us clean ours."

Although I am filled with sadness for your loss, as I think back through the many years since our families met, I find myself smiling at the memories of Drew. The memories, as vivid as photographs, flash past...I see him at swim practice with Thomas...silly, sweet, funny boys laughing at something that must have been hilariously funny at the time. I remember birthday parties, bowling outings, and Drew trying (unsuccessfully I might add) to teach my son how to drive a golf ball on the Pebble Creek course. The summer Pressly watched the boys for you and she always came home talking about Drew's sweet nature. I remember how tender Drew was with your old dog her last summer with your family. Drew was loved by so many, and will always be remembered for being sweet, respectful, and kind. Love and prayers,

Kathy and Randall, I mainly knew Drew from when he would visit Randall when he was coaching our boys on WHG swim team. Please know our hearts are hurting for you during this awful time.
