Andrew "Andy" Joseph Miller, 39, died June 7, 2015.
A native of Greenville County, he was a son of Timothy Andrew and Patricia Goodnough Miller, and a 1994 graduate of Wade Hampton High School. He had a variety of skills working as an electrician and in the food industry.
Andy accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, and Faith Home in Greenwood was special to him. He made friends easily and was a joy to people he met while battling his addiction. He was working on his recovery at a halfway house when he passed away.
He is also survived by a son, Sean Thomas Walker of Tega Cay, SC; grandmothers, Colleen Goodnough and Irene Miller; brother, Josh Miller; and sister, Windi Betzer.
A memorial service will be held at Thursday 4:00 p.m. at the Wood Mortuary.
A visitation will be held Thursday 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Wood Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Faith Home, 144 Faith Home Road, Greenwood, SC 29649 or Miracle Hill Overcomers, 1916 North Pleasantburg Drive, Greeenville, SC 29609.

Where do I start? We have been friends for 27 + years. We have had good times, bad times and times we won't soon forget. I have SO many memories over the years....some good and bad but I accept them all. The laughter, the tears, the 2am calls or texts because you needed help and a ride. I accept them all. You helped me bury my bird when she died on Mothers Day!! I was so upset I couldn't do it alone so you helped me. So when it was time for me to help you, I was there as I should be. Friends for 27+ years!!! WOW! That's a long time. I could go on forever, but instead I wanna say that I am sad, confused, and hurting for your family. I'm thankful that you were on a good path for some time and was able to share that with me while it was happening. That's what friends do. I never personally felt the struggles that you did everyday, but I have witnessed it many times and it's tough. We wanna fix everything for you and we can't. We can only be there when it matters and pray....pray and pray!! A lot of people love you and will miss you! You were my brother. We grew up together....acted like crazy kids together always laughing....until things took a different direction. But regardless, you were always welcomed at my house and I was always there if you ever needed me. Especially in the last year or so....and I value that more than anyone will ever know. So for now, we should all find comfort knowing you are safe, sober, no longer struggling, you're not alone. You are with God and you can look down upon all of us and be our Angel. My heart is broken.....we love you Andrew Joseph Miller! You will be missed everyday. Love MC

I became friends with Andy at Pairs Elementary. It was the start of a life long friendship. He had such a great personality. He could always make you laugh. He was always a great friend to me. My prayers to all family and friends.
