Angela Ray Obituary

Angela Timmons Ray, wife of Joshua Aaron Ray, and daughter of Barry Timmons and Judy Graham, went home to heaven on the morning of Nov. 17, 2004, after a courageous short battle with cancer.

She was a graduate of USC Aiken and she worked with children in her chosen field of art. She was loved by all whose lives she touched.

She will also be missed by her stepfather, Micky Graham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Debbie and Ralph Ray; stepmother, Marie Timmons; grandparents, Sue and Ron Armistead, Lois Timmons, Bobby and Pat Graham, and Doris Timmons. She is also survived by her brothers, Keith and Dustin Timmons, and Gordon Altman; stepbrothers Jason and Brooks Graham; a stepsister, Rebecca Dearth; best friends, Leah Lewis and Jennifer Ray; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Ray was predeceased by her grandfathers, Walter Timmons and Buddy E. Shirley.

Angela will be remembered for her sweet, loving and kind heart. She was known to her family as an "old soul" in a young body. The Lord now has a special angel to attend to all the young angels in heaven. Our loss is their gain.

The family will be at the residence, 114 Roost Court, Lexington. The family will receive friends and family this evening, Nov. 19, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Highway 1, Lexington SC 29073. The service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, Highway 1, West Columbia, S.C., officiated by the Rev. J. Roger Clark.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Board.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rosemary Lambert-Falls and Dr. Paul Kirschenfeld for all their help and kindness. Thanks also to the staff at SC Oncology and Lexington Medical Center.
