Clarence Boyce Helton, 74, of Marietta, husband of the late Della Ruth Coyle Helton, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at his home. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Frank Boyce Helton and the late Almer Pearl Guthrie Barbary. Mr. Helton was a retired welder from Fluor Daniel where he worked for 37 years. Surviving 11 children, Wanda & Steve Westbrook, Linda Cook, Mary Ann & Gary Smith, Odessa & Randy Fuller, Wade Galloway, Missy & Troy Laws, Stacey & David Crary, Clarence & Jean Helton, Frank & Tanya Helton, Joshua Helton and Hope & Jonathan Dodgens; his companion, Margaret Tipton; 7 brothers & sisters; 39 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 Tuesday evening at the mortuary. The family will be at the home. so sorry for your loss Clarence was a good man i can remember when we was kids and mama & daddy (cricket & russell) would come to there house and let all of kids play that was the good ole days.It is so hard to lose your parents. my prayers are with you all.
