Greer

Connie G. Tucker, widow of Bobby E. Tucker, died December 29, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Union County, she was a daughter of the late Green Berry and Opal Christine Steppe Watson and a retired employee of National Healthcare of Greer.

Surviving are one son, Johnny Cruthirds of Greer; one daughter, Carol Tyler of Greer; two brothers, Rion Watson of Tampa, FL and Earl Watson of Greer; twelve grandchildren, Connie C. Tucker, Bobby Cruthirds, Christal Holt, Dawn Brothers, Lisa Tucker, Cheryl Fortenberry, Jennifer Gosnell, Adam McAbee, Daniel McAbee, Jessica Lucario, Becky Tyler and Brian Tyler and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, Kristan Brothers, Harlie and Ethan Holt, Jasmine Morgan, Jonathan and Jessie Adams, Jayden and Cortlin Fortenberry, Lukas Griffey, Bradley, Katelyn, Natalie, Kyndall, Micheeleigh, Samantha, and Addison Cruthirds, Ezeqiel, Isabella, and Julianna Tyler, Anthony, Joshua, and Angel Lucario, Kelli, Katelyn, Britnie, Emily, Mickayla and Alex McAbee and Kaitlyn Campbell.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. The family is at their respective homes.

I miss you so much:( I talk to you at nights and I wonder if you can hear me, you are definitely not forgotten. I miss seeing your smile and hearing your voice... You always would get so mad at how quiet I was and now I wish I hadn't been so quiet I wish I had talked to you more but you at least knew I loved you: I love you so much. Good morning, Grandma! Its another day without u here, i miss just bein able to pick up the phone call and u b there. I finally got to read ur letter u wrote to us and it was so beautiful! Even then its like u knew what we all needed to hear and as always u put ur family first without thinking of ur own needs. As ive said a thousand times u were and always will b the strongest most unselfish loving woman ive ever known and for that i wanna say thank you! I dont only have the bestest grandma in the whole world i have the most beautiful heaven sent truely a gift from god guardian angel to watch over me and my babies! Jayden and Cortlin didnt really get the chance to know u but they still love you and ill make sure they know all about their grandma watching over them with the biggest smile and the heart of gold! This all came so suddenly but i dont think a lifetime couldve prepared us for the pain and emptiness that was and is still felt now that ur gone. U r one of the strongest women i have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
