Greenville
David Patrick Byars, 30, passed away on April 12, 2015.
A native of Greenville County, son of Gail Highsmith of Greenville and Dr. William "Bill" Byars and his wife, Ylva of Greenville, he was a 2002 graduate of Greer High School.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one sister, Jeni Testa and her husband, Mick of Austin, TX; maternal grandmother, Sarah Colman of Greenville; maternal grandfather, Charles C. Highsmith of Tucson, AZ and paternal grandfather, Hugh H. Byars of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Greer, SC, conducted by Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters, Rev. Ray White and Rev. Wayne Cole.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary, 300 W. Poinsett St., Greer, SC 29650.
The families are at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI of Greenville, 2320 E. North Street, Suite L, Greenville, S.C. 29607.

Dr. Byars, I am so sorry to hear about Davids passing, I know we talked many times about what he was going through, even though I had never met David, I know of a fathers love and concern for his children and their lives.
