Eva Ladd Obituary

Eva Lillian Ryan Ladd, 90, of 105 Wardlaw Road, widow of Howard Charles Ladd, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Laurens County Hospital.

Born in Valley Station, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Stanley K. and Jeanette Foss Ryan. She retired from Clemson Extension after 31 years of service. She was a member of Laurens First Baptist Church, Home Bound Ministry at First Baptist Church, Ladies Lions Club, Clemson Extension Secretary Club, and the 4H Club.

Surviving are two sons, Howard C. Ladd II, and wife, Lona, of Laurens, and William David "Bill" Ladd, and wife, Marylin, of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, James Howard Ladd, Richard Edward Ladd, Elizabeth Ladd Hudson, and Margaret Jeanette "M.J." Ladd; and nine great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Bev T. Kennedy Jr.

The family will be at 105 Wardlaw Road, and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 114 E. Earle St., Anderson, SC 29621-5602; or to American Heart Fund, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
