Frances Loraine Pruitt

Greenville - Frances Loraine Pruitt, 92, of Greenville, widow of Clarence Pruitt, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Hobson and Azalee Landers Shaw. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Pruitt worked as a textile inspector at Woodside Mill. She was a member of City View First Baptist Church and the Georgia Lee McKinnon Sunday School Class.

Surviving are two daughters, Delores Phillips of Easley and Delane Bayne (Ray) of Greenville; one son, Larry Pruitt (Marilyn) of Easley; six grandchildren, Tabatha Norwood, Sonja Hunt, Shannon Jenkins, Jason Lark, Ashley Griffin, and Kristie Davis; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by three brothers, Hobson Shaw, Jr., Franklin Shaw, and Curtis Shaw; son-in-law, Charles Phillips; and sister, Ruby Ferguson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at City View First Baptist Church. Burial to follow the service in Graceland Cemetery West.
