Our heart is broken for all of the family. Gary has been our CPA for over 35 years and we have grown to love him like a family member as well as the entire family. 2020 was such a bad year for Gary. He was just hoping it would be over so 2021 would be much better. Little did he know that 2020 would bring him the streets of gold. Such a hard worker all his life; he showed his love for all of us yearly. Gary, we will greatly miss you and your wonderful smile. See you soon!

Betty and all the family members are in my thoughts and prayers as Gary and all have been during the recent past. I had Gary as my CPA for 40 years and considered him my go to financial adviser all those years. My daughter never knew there was anybody else to rely on for guidance in this area. I loved the teasing always issued every time I would run into him through the years. He was one of the good men this world has now lost. He is in a pain free place and greeting so many friends and family. Love to you Betty, his right hand for so many years.

Betty and family members, We were so sorry to hear about the loss of Gary. We are blessed to have known Gary for many years as a dear friend and our CPA. He certainly fought the fight and kept the faith. He sent us an email from the hospital saying that he prayed for us everyday. We will miss Gary's smile, laughter and most of all the friendship. We can be sure that our temporary earthly homes and bodies are nothing when compared with those homes and bodies of perfection that we will one day have in heaven. Today, Gary is certainly a recipient of restored health and a beautiful heavenly home. May God use your friends and family to give you the comfort you need as you grieve and continue to celebrate Gary's life.

Dear Harris Family, So sorry to hear of Gary's passing -- he was such a great guy and could make anything a joy! I so enjoyed our mission trip to Guatemala back in 2001 when he would introduce me as "his mother". He would never tell me his birthday or age -- now I see that he was born the same year I was -- just 5 months before me! May God be with each of you in a very special way with His love, peace, and comfort now and in the future when you go back through all of your wonderful memories with him!!
Thoughts and prayers, Glenda Hoyle

He was such a wonderful faithful follower of his Lord, a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and son to his parents. I always loved how he made me feel part of his family even as a cousin and sister in Christ. The world has lost a soul, who now resides with his Savior, that could make any circumstance into hope. God bless you Betty for being a faithful Christian wife and mother. I will be praying for you and your sweet family as you go on without him.

Gary has been a dear friend and our CPA for the past 50 years. I would come home from a finance course and the two of us would sit for an hour and game plan tax strategies. I will miss those times. In the early years he had curly hair and I never got around to asking him if he used Betty's rollers!! We called each other "fat boy" and egged one another through endless rounds of racquetball when we were younger. I will miss those days. When we met once a year to prepare our taxes he never failed to ask about our children and their families. I will miss his joking, his smile, his sense of humor and I am the richer for all of the years we were friends. Audrey and I are away and will not be able to attend his memorial service but I look forward to seeing him again one day in heaven where we will greet each other with, "Hello fat boy!" and give one another a big hug.

The Harris's of Easley were a wonderful family. I watched Gary's Dad play tennis at the Marion Harris Center Court at Litchfield Beach. He and Foster McKissick were great friends, Gary's brother Don was my younger brother's best friend and I was close to his sister Joyce who was married to Curt Hall. Gary, like the rest of his family always had time for friends and often helped people with their taxes for no compensation. All of them were of great faith and a tribute to the value of living a Christian life putting the needs of others above themselves.
