Gaynelle Brown Obituary

Gaynelle McGill Brown, 86, of 209 N. Pliney Circle, went to be with her Lord Monday, Sept. 23, 2002.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late John Elford and Mamie Sue McGill. Mrs. Brown was retired from Floyd Freeman, Inc., and was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Surviving are three sisters, Nita M. Fuller, Faye M. Chandler and Barbara McCulley, all of Simpsonville; four brothers, Jack E. McGill of Anderson, William F. McGill of Dallas, Texas, the Rev. Joe H. McGill of Hickory Tavern and Philip L. McGill of Simpsonville; 10 nieces; and 10 nephews.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by two brothers, Walter E. McGill and Fred L. McGill; and a nephew, Mike McGill.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Cannon Funerals and Cremations in Simpsonville, with the Rev. Joe H. McGill and the Rev. Randy Harling officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery on White Horse Road. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 25, 2002, at the funeral home.

Those desiring may make memorials to Simpsonville First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3 Hedge St., Simpsonville, SC 29681; or Gideons International Memorial Bible Fund, P.O. Box 771, Greenville, SC 29602.
