Columbia
James (Bob) Robert Barr, 79, of 2601 Forest Drive, Columbia, formerly of 105 Lennox Lane, Easley, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Heartland of Columbia Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Barr was born in Fairmont, WV, on January 20, 1935, to the late John Fleming and Kate Price Barr. Mr. Barr attended The University of West Virginia before serving as a Captain in the US Air Force as an air refueling specialist and a navigator. He was the owner or Barr`s Hardware in Taylors, SC. and he retired as a Project Manager for Weekes Construction. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Easley, SC.
Mr. Barr is survived by two sons; John Davis Barr (Amanda), of North Chesterfield, VA, and Price William Barr (Erika), of Greenville; two daughters; Lila Christine McCullough (Paul), and Lisa Marie Walker (Connor), both of Columbia. Mr. Barr is also survived by his grandchildren; Elliot Rose, Benjamin Walker, William Walker, Lila Walker, Elizabeth Barr, and Anna Katherine Barr and the mother of his children Lila M Barr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Tom Barr and Jack Barr.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to a Humane Society of your choice.

Bob was such a delightful man and I always enjoyed his coming to church during the week with his faithful "Deak". Death is difficult and there seems to be an imperfect peace when illness has stolen the person. My prayers are with all of you. May you find that peace, as imperfect as it may be.
