James Wardlaw Obituary

James "Rick" Wardlaw, 60, of 1244 Relax St., husband of Ann Tucker Wardlaw, passed away December 25, 2008 at his home. He was a very loving father and grandfather, better known as "PaPa."

Born in Conestee, he was a son of the late James Curtis, Sr. and Margaret Ross Wardlaw. He was formerly employed with L.W.T. Construction in Greer and a member of Moose Lodge #749.

Surviving are his wife of the home; sons, Jeff Bishop of Piedmont, Michael Wardlaw of the home; daughter, Amanda Wardlaw Blackwell and husband, Steve of Greenville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lanny and Becky Wardlaw of Belton, Donnie and Peggy Wardlaw of Greenville, Bruce and Wanda Wardlaw of Travelers Rest; brother, Ken Wardlaw of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Steve Cater of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, Brian and Taylor Bishop, Hannah, Haven, and Henslee Blackwell; special friends, Chris Tucker, Ronald Abercrombie, Vernon Ennis.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Gray Mortuary Chapel, Pelzer. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 12:30-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Evergreen Skills Disability and Special Needs, 364 Evergreen Skills Rd., Laurens, SC 29360.
